I share this prayer, "Praise and Thanksgiving," from The Valley of Vision, a collection of Puritan prayers that beautifully captures the heart of gratitude to God.
I sometimes am inspired with similar--though no where's near as eloquent--praise, sense of awe and marvel to God. No wonder He said "Unless you become as this little child." I'm nearing 70 years old, and I am His child.
I have to admit that I do love the idea of thanksgiving, sadly in Sweden it´s only an idea. WE never celebrate it, never have, as far as I know. But we really should take this to heart, because we have so much to be greatful for. Instead of course, we´ve incorporated the dreadful Halloween, cause that is so much more fun and fruitful (sarcastic). God bless yea all that celebrate this (what I think) very important holiday.
