Dear Mother, Made in the Image of God, I write to you today with a message of hope, a message that should pierce through the veil of despair that has enshrouded your heart, and bring forth a ray of light to guide you out of the dark abyss of guilt and shame. I understand that you have been carrying a heavy burden, one that has caused you to question your worth and your place in the eyes of the Lord. You may have thought that your actions are so terrible that God would never forgive you. You may have asked yourself, "Does God forgive murderers?"
I pray that any mother struggling with guilt and shame over having had an abortion and every mother, feeling that they have committed an act so unforgivable that they can never be forgiven by God, will read this powerful letter. I pray (and will continue to pray) that these mothers will come to God in repentance, confessing both the sin but also their faith that our God is faithful, and through the blood of the Son of God Jesus Christ, this sin will be forgiven. Amen.
