Weekly Round-up of Blasphemers, Idolaters, and False Teachers.
Here are this week's round-up of false teachers and blasphemers. First up is Rebecca Todd Peters, a woman who calls herself a "pastor" yet spends the majority of her waking life advocating for the rights of women to murder their children in the womb. Peters heads the Abortion and Religion project at Elon University.
According to an article in RNS, Peters wants to "push back against a moral framework around abortion that requires women to justify their reasons for ending a pregnancy." The article states that "In this, she’s referring not only to the typical justifications — rape, incest or the life of the mother — but any justification. The underlying assumption is that abortion is wrong and that women have an obligation to bear a child, an idea Peters believes is rooted in Christianity’s patriarchal vision of womanhood."
Yep, that's blasphemy. But these are the people who are influencing Southern Baptist leaders like Bart Barber and ERLC head, Brent Leatherwood, and causing them to compromise on abortion.
In another recently surfaced video, Andy Stanley says that Norman Geisler agrees with him that you don't have to actually believe the Bible to be saved.
