Union Seminary Responds, Doubles Down, Defends Their Idolatrous Creation-Worship
This morning, Reformation Charlotte reported on the apostate Union Seminary students and staff who took chapel time to bow down, confess their sins, and worship ... plants. I know, it sounds absurd. However, this was not and is not satire.
After mass criticism -- and outright joking in disbelief -- the seminary responded by doubling down on their idolatry, crying "if we do not change, we will perish."
Interestingly, the phrase "change or perish" reminds us of what Jesus said in Luke 13:3-5, that if we do not repent -- that is repent of our sins, including idolatry -- we will too, perish. Union Seminary must repent, or they will perish.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
Romans 1:24-25
Union Seminary has embraced an entirely new religion. Even before their newfound embrace of animism (creation worship), the had completely departed the faith to embrace a progressive, false Christianity that worships a tolerant, unjust, unrighteous Jesus. They've left sound doctrine behind for homosexual inclusion and feminism, social justice and activism. Pretty much anything God hates, Union Seminary has embraced. But this was a line they've recently crossed that had not been seen before.
Below is the response they posted on Twitter.
