Over Easter—of all times—spiritual charlatan, Paula White, stood in front of cameras and compared Donald Trump to Christ. Not subtly. Not loosely. Directly. She took the betrayal, the suffering, the cost, the language that belongs to the cross alone—and laid it at the feet of the president as if it were even remotely transferable.
Totally agree. But there isn't silence this morning, the entire nation is blowing up over this latest post. In fact, Trump has taken it down.
More signs of the times.
We know Trump's spiritual advisor is a heretic and he is being deceived by most of those around him. By all appearances, he isn't yet saved, and therefore we can't expect him to behave like a Christian.
He is under tremendous pressure, more than any human being can stand for an extended period of time. We can be certain he is 100% in Satan's crosshairs...morning, noon and night. (We often claim we are under 'satanic attack' but Trump is most certainly being assailed by Satan himself.)
Our POTUS needs guidance, correction and massive, continual prayer. That being said, I am not happy about his post, and am praying for his eyes to be opened.
Additionally, I have written a letter to him at the www.whitehouse.gov/contact/. I do fear he is bringing judgment upon himself and our nation. God will not be mocked. But hysteria is uncalled for. Strong and measured comment and criticism is required from the Christian community.
We need to take emotions down a couple of notches and do what we are called to do as Believers. Do NOT stir up conflict or strife. PRAY, speak with biblical authority and use the self-control of the Holy Spirit as beautifully described in the book of James. Above all, trust that God is Sovereign, because He is.
Blasphemy is what came to mind when I first saw it. Now that it’s been a couple of weeks you make an excellent point about the silence. I’ve seen a few people who haven’t been afraid to call it out but not many. Is the average Christian afraid to publicly speak out against what we all witnessed with our own eyes and ears? How did the pastors who stood right there next to the President and Paula White not speak out about this? If not then and there, there’s surely been enough time for them to post a rebuttal. Lord have mercy, if this is what we’re seeing from well known Christian leaders and pastors in today’s world, think of how much worse it’s going to get. We desperately need godly men to speak up and defend the faith, no matter who it involves and no matter the circumstances.
I agree with everything you said, Jeff. I wish Trump was a more circumspect individual. Unfortunately he is not. He has many faults. He probably knows less about Christianity than did Jimmie Carter, which goes a long way to explain why he allows people like White into his circle. But under whose leadership did the nation suffer greater loss? For all his public Christianity, Jimmie Carter took the nation to the brink of ruin. We have been paying ever since for his feckless kowtowing to the islamic tyrants who took over Iran after Carter stupidly allowed Khomeini to return from his exile in France. He told us to wallow in our "malaise," and go put on a sweater if we couldn't afford heat for our homes. Trump has more in common with a man like Ulysses S. Grant, a man who smoked, drank and cursed up a storm than with Jimmie Carter. As Lincoln replied when he was asked why he supported Grant, "He fights." And I feel the same way about Trump.
Thank you Steve! So do I! Carter….was sold to us as a Christian…that he was not…he was a dyed in the wool leftist! Throughout his life he carried that façade…and many were fooled by him!
Good comment, totally agree, I feel the post has so much more to it than meets the eye, we will find out, and DJT just outed the pope as to the charlatan he is so I feel there is much more to this.
These blasphemers are totally unable to comprehend the major suffering our Lord went through, not only as His body hung on the cross with its incalculable pain of gradual suffocation, but also the mental anguish He endured for us (cf. Psalm 22:14-16). And to Paula White I say "Anathama!" "You are a deceiver and trickster! You devil! You attack anything that is right! Will you never stop twisting the straight ways of the Lord into crooked paths?" (Acts 13:10 CEB)
I have known her as a charlatan, a wolf in sheep's clothing, and a Jezebel for years. I cannot believe that he chose her as his primary spiritual advisor. I have been praying that God would deliver him from evil advisors. It may be that God will have to humble him as He did Nebuchadnezzar. We are three times Trump voters, but my wife said today, it is getting harder and harder to defend him. He needs to IMMEDIATELY renounce and apologize to his Christian supporter and to the true God of the Bible.
Back in the early '80s, when Trump was a media darling, I thought his first name was Billionaire and his middle name Donald. On the count that's how they always referred to him. Billionaire Donald Trump. Never just Donald Trump. At that time Trump was not even a professing Christian. And I unequivocally doubt he is a born again, cross bearing, follower of Christ(The risen Savior) today. What he has proven to be is the sword of the Lord. Our great and mighty God has so positioned Trump to hold back the evil that is at the gates of the city. And make no mistake he is for such a time as this. As for Jezebel and her cohorts, sometimes the Lord uses a lying spirit. I think John's words are remarkably apropos; prepare the way of the Lord; make straight His paths. And continue to pray for the peace of the Lord's camp.
Thank you Sean, God uses ‘men’ in ways we are not privy to, He picks sinners, as we all are, but sometimes he needs the strong ones to fight the evil that has been ruling our world for centuries! We will see.
Absolutely Stephanie. God reveals Himself to us by His written word. He needs not our counsel nor does He ask for it; but we can better understand the ins and outs of the world around us by the study of scripture. If I could only remember the half of it, or some small portion thereof.

Who's Paula White?
The White House "spiritual advisor."
Walt, look her up. You will see.
