The De-Education of America and the Resulting Judgment of God
The state of our nation, fraught with moral decay, political anarchy, and social unrest, is a painful reminder that ideas have consequences. Far from being an overnight phenomenon, this quagmire has been years in the making, fertilized by the seeds of godless ideologies sown into the minds of the young via public education and university systems. But this effective de-education of America and the world is the natural result of a land filled with people who hate God and hate truth.

To gaze at the landscape of American society as well as the rest of the world today is to see a grim harvest of destructive ideologies that are fundamentally opposed to biblical principles. We have wars, rumors of wars, nations rising against nations, kingdoms rising against kingdoms, and famines and earthquakes in various places. But should we be alarmed? The answer is no—we brought this on ourselves and the Bible tells us so.
In public schools, where character formation should be a paramount concern, children are instead indoctrinated with agendas that extol relativism over absolute truths. This soil of moral ambiguity has proven fertile ground for the growth of attitudes and behaviors that, even a generation ago, would have been universally recognized as disastrous. The elevation of subjectivity over objectivity has left young people unable to differentiate between enduring principles and transient whims, undermining the foundation of democracy itself—educated and morally sound citizens.
The university setting, historically a setting for free thought and robust debate, has been overtly compromised with this destructive course. The agenda here is far from concealed. Activist professors indoctrinate students in theories such as critical race theory, intersectionality, and radical environmentalism, often under the guise of academic exploration. But these are not neutral ideas—they carry with them a view of humanity and society that stands diametrically opposed to the Christian understanding of the inherent worth and fallenness of every Image bearer.
And what are the fruits of this ideological proliferation? A society increasingly dismissive of the value of life, the sanctity of marriage, and the God-given roles that accompany our biology. Instead we have drag queen story hour, Black Lives Matter (endorsed by many Evangelical leaders) supporting Hamas terrorism, and major megachurches promoting homosexuality in Christian circles. In the political arena, we find elected officials more beholden to popular sentiment than to constitutional principles, who justify their ideological gambits by appealing to a distorted sense of social justice. Even our collective dialogues, from social media to the mainstream press, betray an alarming lack of discernment and a disheartening abandonment of reasoned thought and debate.
It is naïve to think that this spiritual and moral malaise would occur without repercussions. Scripture is clear: "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap" (Galatians 6:7). As we have sown the wind of secular ideologies, we are reaping the whirlwind of social chaos and existential despair. A nation that turns its back on God's precepts should not be surprised when it experiences the withdrawal of God's favor.
