The Cult of Self-Destruction
Here we are in 2025, watching an entire generation mutilate itself while screaming that we’re the fascists. They pierce, ink, carve, and scar their bodies in the name of “freedom,” yet they march under the banner of rage, demanding that anyone who still looks and lives like a normal human being must be silenced. And, of course, all they’re straight, white, conservative, male enemies are…fascists. The irony is so thick it’s almost Scripture-worthy satire.
“Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man…” —Romans 1:22–23
This isn’t simply about body piercings or tattoos or whatever passing fad is currently chewing through youth culture. This is about what happens when God gives a people over. Romans 1 describes it as the great handoff—when men and women exchange truth for lies, glory for shame, sanity for madness.
The image-bearers of God, designed with purpose and beauty, become canvases for their own destruction. They call it “self-expression.”
God calls it judgment.
And the cruelest joke of all is that the very ones who vandalize their own bodies now imagine themselves to be the moral compass of the age. They scream “fascist” at anyone who believes in family, in morality, in the ancient truths of God’s law. They spit the word as if it were the height of insult, never realizing that their own little cult is built on conformity, intimidation, and violence—the very ingredients of fascism itself.
