Preston Sprinkle, a name that has become synonymous with theological compromise and unbiblical sexual ethics, has built his career attempting to merge a baptized version of queer theory with biblical orthodoxy. As the founder of the Center for Faith, Sexuality, and Gender, Sprinkle has devoted much of his time attempting to redefine biblical orthodoxy, particularly on issues like sexuality and gender.

Recently, at the 'Exiles in Babylon' conference—a gathering that aims to address modern cultural and theological challenges—Sprinkle delivered a message that perfectly encapsulates his signature move: affirming biblical truth with one hand while undermining it with the other.

During his closing argument, he states:

In summary, I believe the Bible teaches that God identifies us as male or female based on our biological sex and that followers of Jesus should embrace this divine identity. And I also have dear friends in my life who identify as transgender. Some have transitioned. Some have detransitioned. Some have not transitioned.
