Phil Johnson Responds to Hit Piece Trying to Discredit John MacArthur
If you weren’t aware already, today, a hit piece by Paige Rogers showed up in the media attempting to discredit John MacArthur regarding his recollection of the event that took place with him after the Martin Luther King shooting. As MacArthur recalled, he was with John Perkins and Charles Evers, two men closely associated with King, after the shooting took place, and visited the site of the homicide with these men aftward.
The piece, it was discovered, was actually an interview by someone with a long-time grudge against MacArthur — none other than Brannon Howse. You can see Phil Johnson’s replay below.
Brannon Howse has already been exposed as an obnoxious man with an insatiable desire to attack Bible-believing Christians. He relentlessly went after Justin Peters two years ago, which I wrote about back then, trying to paint him as a fraud and a deceiver. You can read about that here. While there is much to criticize MacArthur about with his apparent compromise with social justice warriors recently, MacArthur has never been a disingenuous man with a reason to fake a story.
