If anyone still needed proof that the Roman Catholic Church has fallen into full apostasy, the confirmation of Gio Benitez should be enough. On November 8, 2025, the openly homosexual ABC anchor—“married” to Tommy DiDario since 2016—stood at St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan to be confirmed into the RCC, with his “husband” serving as sponsor.

The ceremony was public, celebrated, and photographed. Benitez called it a testament to “God’s loving mercy,” inspired by the late Pope Francis’s “legacy of inclusivity” and the advocacy of Fr. James Martin.
