I woke up to a disturbing reality this morning while perusing my inbox. I’m not sure how I missed it, a new abortion facility in Chicago—called Hope Clinic—has opened with a singular, unsettling distinction. It is now the only standalone abortion center in the Midwest to commit abortions as late as 34 weeks into pregnancy.
Let that sink in.
Thirty-four weeks. That’s a baby who, if born prematurely, would be placed in a neonatal intensive care unit and lovingly cared for by doctors and nurses. But in Illinois, that same baby can be legally and lethally torn apart in the womb under the euphemism of "reproductive health."
