Kenneth Copeland to be Booted From TBN
Kenneth Copeland is a multi-millionaire — a self-proclaimed billionaire, in fact — with a personal private jet and a mansion fit for a king. Copeland has gained his wealth by fleecing unsuspecting people in the name of Jesus in exchange for a false gospel — the prosperity gospel.
The vast majority of those Copeland fleeces never see the health and wealth promised to them in exchange for “sowing seeds” into Copeland’s ministry. Sadly, most of them have never heard the true gospel and many of them will duly die in their sins unsaved.
In the midst of the coronavirus, Copeland made headlines as he made a number of dubious claims, including that the coronavirus is “finished” as he commands it to “crawl on your belly.” He also told people that even if they lose their jobs, they have to keep sending him money.
Copeland has been confronted on multiple occasions about how he defrauds people — particularly low-income people — for money to pay for his private jets, lavish homes, and expensive trips and vacations.
According to Copeland's ministry website, he is now getting the boot from Trinity Broadcast Netweork (TBN) as the owners, Matt and Laurie Crouch told him he wasn't a good fit for their channel any more.
Recently, Matt let me know they believe The LORD is taking TBN in a new direction, and our daily program, Believer’s Voice of Victory (BVOV), isn’t really a fit for their future programming. Therefore, as of Oct. 2, 2020, the BVOV broadcast will no longer air on TBN.
And Copeland made the announcement on Facebook Monday.
It is not clear if the boot is related to Copeland's continual scamming of his viewers as TBN is notorious for false teachings and rank heresy. But one thing is for sure -- whatever the reason, less people viewing this snake is a good thing for everyone.
