Joyce Meyer Says Once You're Old Enough to Reason, You're Going to Have Trouble Believing
Joyce Meyer says foolish things, often. Joyce Meyer is a well-known false prophet who runs the speaking and preaching circuit with many famous charismatic lady-preachers, such as Beth Moore and Christine Caine, as well as men like Steven Furtick and Carl Lentz. Meyer is an ardent advocate of prosperity theology and has even claimed -- among multitudes of other asinine things -- that she was able to "speak" her debt away.
In short, Joyce Meyer has no shortage of stupid things to say -- including that, contrary to Scripture, faith can't be reasoned.
“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.Isaiah 1:18
The Christian faith is not rooted in some mystical feeling of supernatural emotions -- it is based on the preaching of the Word of God, hearing it, and believing it. The supernatural act is God turning our hearts toward Him in faith, but God most certainly uses our reason and intellect to do so. It's really quite simple -- Meyer should read Romans 10 some time.
But what's even dumber than that, Meyer says a 2-year-old laid hands on her mom and healed her. Well, that's just dumb. Does God heal? Of course, he does. Does God give the apostolic gift of healing to 2-year-olds who aren't born again -- or anyone for that matter? No.
