Highly-Respected Professor to Drop Bombshell Report on Al Mohler's Seminary Decline
Earlier last year when John MacArthur released the Statement on Social Justice and the Gospel -- a statement that repudiated the influx of Cultural Marxism in to Evangelical churches and, in many cases, acted as a replacement for the gospel -- Russell Fuller, a highly-respected and notable professor at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, signed on. Despite the fact that at the time, there were credible threats against the careers of any staff member who signed the statement, Fuller told Reformation Charlotte that it was too important to ignore despite that.
When Reformation Charlotte reached out to Fuller to verify that it was truly his signature on the statement, he confirmed. Asked if he was concerned about the perceived threat of punitive action against his career, he responded,
That very well may be the case. I cannot say for sure. But this issue is vital for the gospel and the church…yes, I am concerned, but I think this is necessary and important.
Turns out, those threats were real -- and on April 22, Fuller was let go.
While several of the other professors are believed to have signed a non-disclosure agreement, Fuller did not. An now, he's speaking out. In an upcoming documentary, Enemies Within the Church, Fuller is expected to release the details of what is taking place in these seminaries and will be speaking out against the influx of secular ideologies like Critical Race Theory.
