G3 Founder Josh Buice Accused of Hosting Anonymous Social Media Accounts to "Slander" Other Church Leaders
G3 Ministries, founded in 2013 to equip local churches with sound biblical theology, has announced the resignation of its president, Dr. Josh Buice, following revelations of anonymous online activity. Dr. Buice, who also serves as an elder at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church (PMBC), led G3’s conferences, student retreats, and publishing arm before stepping down on May 8, 2025.
In their May 12 statement, the board explained that PMBC elders “uncovered irrefutable evidence” showing Dr. Buice “operated at least four anonymous social media accounts, two anonymous email addresses, and two Substack platforms” over three years. These channels were used to “publicly and anonymously slander numerous Christian leaders,” sowing “unnecessary suspicion and strife within the body of Christ.” When confronted on May 4, Buice initially denied involvement but later “acknowledged his sin, expressed sorrow, and asked for forgiveness.”
The board noted that “no other employee or board member of G3 knew Josh was engaged in this activity; he acted alone.” Although Buice “is presently disqualified from serving as an elder,” the board does “not believe at this time that his sin is necessarily permanently disqualifying,” and his previous content will remain accessible on G3’s platforms.
In light of these events, G3 has canceled its national conference and all 2025 workshops, offering full refunds to registrants, exhibitors, and publishers. The ministry will continue G3+, G3 Press, the G3 Student Retreat, and other media content, emphasizing “helpful biblical content that strengthens the church and avoids the dangerous celebrity culture” it says has permeated modern evangelicalism. The board closed by reaffirming its commitment “to walk in the light, to speak the truth in love, and to labor together for the building up of Christ’s church in holiness and unity.”

This is truly sad news. I sincerely hope that Josh's repentance is one that genuinely reflects genuine remorse.
