Couple helps parents of LGBTQ kids come out of the closet – Baptist News Global

CNN has long been nothing more than a mouthpiece for progressive secularism—proclaiming the virtues of a godless world while clutching its pearls whenever the slightest whiff of biblical authority challenges its hegemony. But their latest attempt to crown Andy Stanley, the king of compromise, as a champion of Christian virtue is a expert session in stupidity.

You'd think a network that fawns over drag queens reading to toddlers would at least attempt subtlety when propping up theological heretics. But no, CNN leans in with gusto, featuring a puff piece on Greg and Lynn McDonald, leaders of a pro-LGBTQ ministry birthed from the festering compromise of Stanley’s North Point Community Church.

The McDonalds, long-time members of North Point whom we’ve written about previously at The DISNTR, have a homosexual son whose lifestyle they’ve chosen to affirm in direct defiance of God’s word. Their ministry, “Parent Connect,” is a Trojan horse for the LGBTQ agenda under the mask of Christian compassion—a betrayal of Scripture masquerading as grace.

And CNN, ever eager to see the church bent into conformity with the spirit of the age, gleefully amplifies their heresy as if it's a moral triumph.

Last year, Stanley’s church hosted the now infamous Unconditional Conference, a spectacle of doctrinal rot so pungent it could make the Corinthians blush. The conference centered on the inclusion of sexually deviant lifestyles within the church, all while paying lip service to biblical ethics.

Stanley and his church leadership claim fidelity to Scripture, yet their rhetoric reeks of capitulation. How can one uphold a “New Testament sexual ethic” while handing the microphone to voices who openly mock it? It’s like hiring a wolf to guard the sheep and then applauding its restraint when it only eats a few.

CNN’s promotion of Stanley’s theological neutering should come as no surprise. For years, the network has painted itself as an arbiter of morality, pushing the envelope of depravity while insisting it’s all perfectly reasonable. By platforming and promoting the McDonalds, CNN attempts to launder the stench of compromise emanating from North Point.

The article frames the McDonalds’ journey as one of courageous love, conveniently omitting that this so-called “love” discards God’s commands like yesterday’s garbage. Can you imagine the apostles nodding along with such drivel? Of course not. They’d be flipping tables and calling for repentance—not sponsoring conferences with rainbow flags.
