Breaking: Dem California Governor Orders Ban on Gatherings of 250 People or More, Including Church Services
Just today, California Governor Gavin Newsom mandated a ban on gatherings of 250 or more persons in a sweeping effort to control the spread of the Wuhan virus in his state.
The ban affects large gatherings, including church services, which hold more than 250 people at a time.
Phil Johnson, elder at John MacArthur's Grace Community Church just outside of Los Angeles announced that they would be holding service via livestream on Sunday mornings.
Others have reacted negatively, citing that this shows how easily the government can declare a pandemic and shutdown church services.
The ban does not affect work-related gatherings, grocery stores, or other shopping centers. Costco remains open with lines extending around the parking lot.
