AZ Senate Passes Legislation Requiring Schools to Disclose All Learning Materials Online

The Arizona Senate has passed a bill, SB1058, that would require all schools to disclose classroom learning materials and content online.

As progressivism expands in classrooms across the country and teachers become more radicalized to the left, parents are growing increasingly concerned with how their children are being indoctrinated. One of the growing concerns is the use of Critical Race Theory in the classrooms to advance a Socialist agenda.

Parents are also concerned about the growing influence of the LGBTQ movement in schools as students and teachers are being required to affirm abnormal sexual behaviors including using the "preferred pronouns" of sexually confused people.

One popular curriculum that many schools have adopted is called the 1619 Project which is founded by America-hating liberals who teach that America is not exceptional and that the founders did not believe in democracy.

The legislation, if passed by the House, would allow parents a mechanism to withdraw from certain curricula if the parents have concerns or deem it harmful to their child.

The bill reads in part:

"TO ENSURE A PARENT'S RIGHT TO REVIEW LEARNING MATERIALS AND ACTIVITIES AS DESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION A OF THIS SECTION, BEGINNING AUGUST 1, 2021, EACH SCHOOL THAT IS OPERATED BY A SCHOOL DISTRICT AND EACH CHARTER SCHOOL SHALL PROMINENTLY DISCLOSE ON A PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE PORTION OF ITS WEBSITE"

The bill now moves to the House for vote then, if passed, to be signed by the governor of Arizona.
